Both women and youth face several challenges, and often are unable to fully participate in a country’s economic growth. In Sri Lanka, women labour force participation is at a low of 35.5 percent, while unemployment among youth aged 20-24 has been at an average of 40 percent for the past decade. Mismatched skills, limited employment creation among private sector, lack of entrepreneurship, cultural and social norms, gender stereotyping of jobs are some of the challenges that women and youth face.

At Chrysalis, we work with clients to build sustainable solutions that meet the clients’ needs while addressing the challenges that women and youth face.
