The origin of SML goes back to 1962, where Isuzu Agency was secured by the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment in 1962.

The Company was peoplised on the 26th of August 1992 and 60% of Issued capital was acquired by M/s Itoch & Co. Ltd (Itochu Corporation) Japan, one of the largest trading organizations (Sogo-Shosa) in Japan,of The remainder, 10% was gifted to employees and 30% issued to the general public.

The company was acquired by Access Engineering (Pvt) Ltd on 29th of February 2012.

The Head Office is situated at No.25, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02. isuzu New Vehicles Showroom, Spare Parts Stores, Sales Office  &  repair Workshop are also located at head office. Our main isuzu repair workshop is located at No. 25/11, New Nuge Road , Peliyagoda. Our state of art workshop at HO using latest Japanese technologies is able to provide high value service to our customers .The Colombo workshop is able to service not only Isuzu brand but any other brand . 3S concept.

As an extension to our value added services considering the convenience of our valued customers we are operating a spare parts retail sales outlets at Peliyagoda & Panchikawatta.

During 2014 company invested in. LR company which paved 50% ownership of the LR company.
