What is Observer JOBS™ ?

Observer JOBS™ is the vacancy section of Sunday Observer newspaper which brought print, web, mobile and social media together to create a comprehensive, easy to access employment network for both job seekers and employers in Sri Lanka.

How to register with Observer JOBS™ as a job seeker?

• Click the "Register" button available in the top right corner of the menu bar and it will take you to the registration page.
• Click the "Job Seeker Account" tab and fill in your basic information such as name, email address, interested job category, etc... and click on the "Create an Account" button.

How to create your online CV profile?

• After you registered as a job seeker, go to "Update Resume" section in menu bar.
• Provide your personal information such as, contact details educational background, work experience, etc...
• When you fill up this information, Observer JOBS™ will automatically create an online CV which you can share with anybody

What is "Quick Apply"?

• The "Quick Apply" gives the job seekers an effortless way to apply for a vacancy with a click of a button.
• Click on "Quick Apply" and provide your name, email address, a brief message to the employer, attach your CV and click Apply.
• The logged in job seeker only has to verify his/her the required details to apply for the vacancy.
• The employer receive an email with your CV for the vacancy to his/her inbox.

What can I do as a Job Seeker in Observer JOBS™?

• View all the vacancies that you applied(Quick Apply) as a registered job seeker.
• All the employers that you follows can be seen in the dashboard.
• You can update your profile details timely and change the given password.

How to register as an Employer in Observer JOBS™?

• Click the "Register" button available in the top right corner of the menu bar and it will take you to the registration page.
• Click the "Employer Account" tab and fill in your basic information such as industry, company name, address, contact number, email address, contact person, etc... and click on the "Create an Account" button.

How to post a vacancy in Observer JOBS™?

• Currently, only SLASSCOM members can directly post a vacancies after obtaining a package from us.
• For others to post their vacancies,
  • 1st you need to publish their vacancy in our Sunday Observer newspaper.
  • Observer JOBS™ staff will post your vacancy on our website under your profile.

What can I do as an Employer in Observer JOBS™?

• You will be getting a public profile to showcase your currently available vacancies, contact details, social media profiles and the company summary.
• You can manage your posted vacancies in Observer JOBS™.
• You can view the applicants those who have applied for the vacancies and can shortlist applicants for each vacancies and schedule interviews for them.
• Furthermore, you can inspect who followers you in Observer JOBS™.
• You can maintain a list of people who can manage your company profile.
